What Gardening Has Taught Me

A journey where I reveal what gardening has taught me. From cultivating patience to thriving amidst storms, and nurturing personal growth, explore the parallels between tending to a garden and nurturing your own soul.

Let me spill the beans on what gardening has taught me, and trust me, it’s more than just saving on groceries!

Picture this:

Me, a few years ago, was wound up like a tight coil and had a fuse shorter than a snail’s marathon. But then, a revelation! I discovered I’m an INFJ-T personality (rare breed, they say). And as I delved deeper into understanding myself, something magical happened – gardening stepped in to lend a helping hand.

First lesson: Patience, my dear grasshopper.

You see, plants couldn’t care less about the gossip next door. They grow, bloom, and bear fruit on their own sweet time. It’s like they’ve mastered the art of chill.

And here’s another gem:

You can thrive even when life pours down like a monsoon (not talking about actual weather, mind you). It’s about navigating the stormy setbacks and hardships with resilience and grace. Just like those plants, standing tall through it all.

Oh, and this one’s a beauty:

The more love you shower on your garden, the more bountiful the harvest. It’s a give-and-take relationship, a secret dance between you and Mother Nature.

That’s why my garden has become my sanctuary, my escape hatch from the chaos of the world. It’s where I disconnect, grow, and let my green thumb do its thing.

Now, as our second garden season kicks off, I feel a shift within me too. Last year, I was a newbie gardener nurturing both seedlings and a budding business. And you know what? The more time and effort I invested in my business, the more it flourished – just like those precious sprouts.

This year, it’s all about nurturing the garden, tending to my business, starting a new venture, and taking care of myself. It’s like watering, fertilizing, experimenting, and lovingly nurturing both my seedlings and my own personal growth.

But hold your watering can, my friend.

I’m not saying you should turn into a full-fledged gardener to solve all your problems. No siree! What I’m suggesting is that you treat yourself with the same care and attention you give to your garden.

On my journey of Kraft-ing My Best Life, I had to dig up the things that were holding me back and start fresh, again and again. So, if you find yourself stuck in a growth rut, take a step back and get back to the basics – water yourself, fertilize your dreams, experiment fearlessly, and nurture your soul.

And as promised, here’s a mini gallery showcasing our vibrant seedlings at the end of May and early June. Take a peek, and let the beauty of growth inspire you on your own flourishing path.

So, grab that watering can, sprinkle some love on yourself, and watch as your own garden of dreams blossoms and thrives. Cheers to growth, my fellow green thumbs! 🌱🌻
